Fulfilled Non-Messianic Prophecies

The great majority of non-Messianic prophecies deal with predictions and fulfillments in the Old Testament times. The oldest confirmations of the OT texts are the Septuagint and the Dead Sea Scrolls, so it remains a serious challenge to prove these prophecies were written before their fulfillment. Liberal scholars simply assume each so called prophecy had to be written after its fulfillment.  Why?  As it is their assumption that genuine prophecy is not possible, they will only support a late date theory. Examples of this approach are the debates over the authorship and date of the books of Moses, Daniel and Isaiah.[4]

Table 24-1 gives a limited overview of prophecies that span long periods of time and which are fulfilled in history and/or confirmed by other texts. We will limit our analysis to only a few of these prophecies.
