Questions, Sections, and ExhibitsThis book of evidence is intended to be a comprehensive study of science and history. Its logic moves the reader toward the undeniable and verifiable conclusion that Christianity is based on true facts. We follow five main questions. Answers to the first three eliminate the various worldviews, logically concluding that Christianity is the only worldview consistent with and supported by modern day science as well as history with its manuscript studies, archaeological digs, and scholarly analysis. Answers to the remaining questions provide valuable additional information which solidifies the unique truth of the Christian worldview. Each question is addressed in one complete section of this book. The first chapter of each section introduces the question, provides additional background and explains the logical analysis that follows. Later chapters present observations, facts and evidences – I call them “exhibits” – and these are examined, analyzed, and explained. Exhibits are numbered in each section and identified by the symbol ☼. At the end of each section, the exhibits are summarized and a conclusion is presented. The Five QuestionsThe following questions form the foundation of this book: Section I: Does God Exist? Is there conclusive evidence for the existence of a Creator? Do modern day scientific observations prove – or disprove – the presence of such a Creator? If proof proves positive, we can eliminate all worldviews that reject a Creator, such as atheism (which insists there is no God), and pantheism (the belief that the universe has always existed and that the universe itself is God). Section II: Is the Bible True? Should a Creator God exist, it would only be logical that He would communicate with His creation. The Christian Bible claims to be that communication, but is this claim valid? We will examine the Bible to see if it is historically accurate, trustworthy and reliable. If we can prove that to be true, all other worldviews are eliminated that do not accept the Bible and/or base their claims on other revelation, such as Islam (that claims that the Bible was corrupted by the Jews and Christians, and argues that a “higher quality” revelation has been preserved by the prophet Mohammed in the Qur’an ). And this conclusion will strike down views such as polytheism (there are multiple gods) and deism (God exists and created the universe, but is no longer interested/involved in his creation).
Structure and Relationship of the Five Questions Section III: Is Jesus God’s Son? If God exists and the Bible is historically accurate and reliable, the great question to answer is, if Jesus is indeed God’s unique Son, or, is Jesus God in a human form? If not, Judaism is the complete and accurate religion. If Jesus is indeed divine, then Christianity is true. A positive answer to these three questions leads logically to the conclusion that Christianity is true. To verify the consistency and correctness of our reasoning, two more questions are discussed. Section IV: Is
the Bible Inspired by God? Does evidence prove the Bible is not
only textually and historically reliable, but actually the divinely
inspired Word of God? Can we find in the texts of the Bible
evidences that strengthen the claim that these sacred writings were
inspired by God and not written by ordinary men? Section V: What do others believe? If Christianity is true, other worldviews must be false. Examining other prevalent worldviews on the same basis of objective evidences as we test Christianity, we can verify that indeed only Christianity is based on truth as a genuine divine revelation.
